Eclipse runs training courses in Christian counselling and in drug and alcohol awareness

Level 2 Understanding Substance Misuse

Commencing in June 2009, this 30 hour course is accredited by the CPCAB (Counselling and Psycotherapy Central Awarding Body). The qualificiation will give students a greater understanding of addiction and the way that drugs and alcohol are used. Students will learn about differerent drugs, their names, effects, what they look like and symptoms of withdrawal. It also brings a biblical perspective.

Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills

Commencing September 2009 Venue: Littlehampton, West Sussex.
This course is accredited by the CPCAB (Counselling and Psycotherapy Central Awarding Body) and recognised by the Association of Christian Counsellors and the Open College Network. There are no requirements for previous counselling training or experience.

The course, comprising 90 hours hours training plus independent study time, will be delivered on 12 Saturdays, once a month from September through to July 2010 This wide ranging course looks at many aspects of caring or counselling and is ideal for anyone who is involved in caring for or helping people as well as for those who may want to go on to further counselling training.

It will equip students with good listening skills and will look at a range of counselling models and approaches.

It leads on to the Certificate in Counselling Studies and then to the Diploma in Counselling .
